                   Koyuki is a Japanese model and actress. Koyuki was born in Zama, Kanagawa-ken, then started her "modeling career" in 1995 and has since starred in various "Japanese dramas", "TV" and "magazine ad campaigns" and "films".

                    In 2003, Koyuki played her first starring role in a drama, "Kimi wa Pet" (an adaptation of Yayoi Ogawa's manga series of the same name). Koyuki plays as "Sumire", an intelligent, beautiful and accomplished journalist who comes in contact with a young man played by "Matsumoto Jun" who becomes her "pet".

                    In 2005, Koyuki starred in the movie "Always - 3chome no Yuhi". With result, her performance earned her a "Best Actress" nomination at the "Japanese Academy Awards".

                   Koyuki frequently appears in "Japanese print" and "television campaigns" for the electronics company "Panasonic". Her first international film was The Last Samurai where                Koyuki played as "Taka", the wife of a "Samurai slain" by the character "Nathan Algren", played by "Tom Cruise". Koyuki appears in "Blood: The Last Vampire live" which is an action film starring "Jun Ji-Hyun", where Koyuki plays Onigen, "the arch-villain".

                   On April 1st 2011 Koyuki married with "Matsuyama Kenichi" who co-starred with her in "Kamui Gaiden".
